Getting started

Practice with the interactive teacher tutorial

Learn the platform by completing real actions on the whiteboard instead of reading a long guide.

  1. Open the Account & help icon at the far right of the dark top bar.
  2. Choose Interactive tutorial.
  3. Follow each spotlight to load the practice page, annotate it, add a stop, replay it, and try the lasso.
  4. Finish the tour to return to the lesson you had open before you started.
02
Getting started

Import a PDF, PowerPoint, Word file, or image

Turn existing lesson material into clear whiteboard pages you can annotate and replay.

  1. Open the whiteboard and choose Add media in the upper toolbar.
  2. Choose Lesson file, then select a PDF, .pptx PowerPoint, .docx Word document, PNG, or JPEG.
  3. Each document page or slide becomes a separate whiteboard page. A single image is added to the page you already have open.
  4. Write, highlight, add shapes, or place teaching stops over the imported material.
03
Getting started

Replace or remove an uploaded image

Change the page background without starting the entire lesson over.

  1. Open Add media.
  2. Choose a new image to replace the current page image, or choose Remove image.
  3. Use Clear ink at the bottom of the page when you only want to remove your writing.
  4. Choose Undo clear immediately if you cleared ink by mistake.
04
Getting started

Start over with a completely new lesson

Reset pages, images, ink, stops, and the lesson title safely.

  1. Choose the New lesson page icon in the dark top bar.
  2. In the confirmation, choose Save lesson, then start if you may need the current work again.
  3. Choose Discard and start over only when you are sure the current work can be removed.
  4. A clean page opens with a new untitled lesson.
05
Teaching stops

Add useful teaching stops

Break one explanation into student-sized chunks that replay in sequence.

  1. Write or highlight one complete idea on the board.
  2. Choose Add teaching stop in the upper toolbar, or press S.
  3. Continue with the next idea and add another stop.
  4. Use the numbered stop chips in the replay bar to revisit a checkpoint.
06
Getting started

Select, move, resize, duplicate, or delete ink

Use the lasso when an annotation is correct but needs to be reorganized.

  1. Choose Lasso in the whiteboard tool row.
  2. Drag a box around one or more ink marks or shapes.
  3. Drag inside the selection to move it, or drag the lower-right handle to resize it.
  4. Use Duplicate, Delete, or Done in the small selection toolbar.
07
Replay & recording

Replay a lesson live with a clicker

Present one teaching chunk at a time during whole-group instruction.

  1. Add at least one teaching stop while preparing the lesson.
  2. Open Account & help, then choose Present lesson for a clean student view.
  3. Press Space, Enter, Page Down, or the right arrow to play or pause the next chunk.
  4. Use Page Up or the left arrow to move backward, then exit presentation when finished.
08
Replay & recording

Record and download a lesson replay

Capture the board and narration as a video students can revisit.

  1. Choose Record in the top bar and approve microphone or screen access when your browser asks.
  2. Teach the lesson normally and add stops when useful.
  3. Choose Stop recording. Wait while the browser prepares the video.
  4. Review the recording, then choose Download video before closing or refreshing the page.
09
Saving & reuse

Save, open, and reuse a lesson

Keep a prepared board for another class period or a future unit.

  1. Give the lesson a clear title at the top of the whiteboard.
  2. Choose Save. Signed-in teachers receive a private cloud copy and the device keeps a local copy.
  3. Choose Folder to open the lesson library.
  4. Select a lesson to reopen it, revise it, present it, or make a fresh recording.
10
Saving & reuse

Understand cloud saves and device saves

Know where a lesson is kept and what follows you to another device.

  1. Sign in with Google before saving when you want a private cloud copy.
  2. A signed-in save appears in your lesson library on another supported device after sign-in.
  3. A device-only save stays in that browser and may disappear if browser storage is cleared.
  4. Download completed recording videos separately; they are not part of the cloud lesson file.
11
Saving & reuse

Understand the 14-day trial and cloud access

Know what changes when a founding-teacher trial reaches its end.

  1. Sign in with Google to begin the 14-day trial and create your private cloud library.
  2. During the trial, Save keeps a private cloud copy and a device copy when browser storage allows.
  3. After the trial, existing cloud lessons remain available to open or remove, while new saves stay on the current device.
  4. Open Account & access, then choose View plans to compare monthly and annual access.
12
Saving & reuse

Choose, change, or cancel a paid plan

Use Stripe checkout and the secure billing portal without sharing card details with Replay My Lesson.

  1. Open Plans and choose monthly or annual access.
  2. Sign in with Google if asked, then review the price and first billing date in Stripe checkout.
  3. Confirm only when the plan details are correct.
  4. Later, open Account and choose Manage billing to update the payment method or cancel before renewal.
13
Replay & recording

Choose between Expand and Present

Use the right full-screen mode for authoring or student viewing.

  1. Choose Expand when you want a larger workspace while keeping authoring controls available.
  2. Choose Present when students should see a cleaner lesson view.
  3. Use replay controls or a clicker while presenting.
  4. Exit full screen with Escape or the on-screen exit control.
14
Troubleshooting

Fix camera, microphone, or screen-capture access

Recover when the browser blocks media or recording permissions.

  1. Look for the camera or microphone icon beside the browser address bar.
  2. Change the site permission to Allow, then reload Replay My Lesson.
  3. On a managed school device, ask your technology administrator whether recording or screen capture is blocked by policy.
  4. If screen capture is unavailable on mobile, take a screenshot first and upload it from Photo library.
